THE Gandel Foundation has committed its support to Courage to Care, donating over $200,000 to the not-for-profit organisation.

This latest three-year grant will enable Courage to Care to deliver on its mission through its Upstander Programs to educate participants on how to counter the dangers of racism, prejudice, discrimination and bullying.

“In these turbulent times, initiatives that educate about compassion, care and humanity are probably more important than ever before,” said Vedran Drakulic, CEO of the Gandel Foundation.

Committed to “helping build and strengthen social cohesion and inclusion in the Australian community,” he added that the “enduring partnership with Courage to Care is one of the finest examples of working together to achieve that”.

Delighted to receive the extra funding, CEO of Courage to Care Mike Zervos said the support has been “pivotal in our success and this renewed commitment will allow us to reach over 10,000 students across Victoria each year.”

Noting the challenging year the organisation has faced, Zervos said, “We see this as a true, enduring and equal partnership to achieve our common goal.”
