A comprehensive offering for our seniors
Recently there has been an increase in people in the community seeking support from JewishCare's aged services team.
At JewishCare we care for and celebrate the seniors of our community every day. With a diverse range of clients from different backgrounds, providing a culturally appropriate and comfortable environment for everyone is always top of mind.
“We also have choices available to clients and their families with flexible CDC pages catering to the individual. Our professional care managers will always guide you through the process to achieve the best outcome possible,” commented Gary Groves, CEO of JewishCare.
Recently there has been an increase in people in the community seeking support from JewishCare’s aged services team.
“When we ask how they heard about us its almost always through word of mouth – their friends are receiving holistic support and are very happy with our services. This is always an excellent benchmark for us,” he continued.
JewishCare’s programs and services for seniors extend to free social work and occupational therapy to help people live independently for as long as, and as successfully as possible. To do this, staff work closely with the family and other organisations including Dementia Australia, Enable NSW, and Assistive Technology Australia.
The team also offer a comprehensive group of social clubs to combat isolation. Hopefully, this year they will be able to operate at full capacity once again.
Another key avenue of support are the special services offered to Holocaust survivors. Funded home support packages can provide up to 25 hours of support per week and the team also assists survivors to access restitution through the Conference on Jewish Material Claims against Germany.
