A defining moment for Moriah College

Moriah College has announced the commencement of its high school redevelopment project after many years of planning, designing and fundraising. The project has been highly anticipated by the Moriah community and represents a vision of the community’s commitment to building its future.

The redevelopment is a culmination of the dedication and hard work of those who have led the effort over the years as well as the ongoing support of the Moriah community.

“The generosity and partnership of the Moriah community have been extraordinary, pledging $86 million in commitments to date,” Moriah Foundation president Judy Lowy said. “While there is still important work ahead, this moment is one of pride in what has been achieved and confidence in what will be delivered for future generations.”

For more than 80 years, Moriah College has played a significant role in Sydney’s Jewish community with approximately half of the city’s Jewish high school students who attend a Jewish day school passing through its gates. For the Moriah community, this new building represents the next chapter of progress.

“This milestone reflects years of dedication and a deeply held belief in what this community can achieve together,” said Moriah College president Robbie Blau. “It is more than just delivering a building. It is about strengthening the future of Jewish education and ensuring our community continues to grow with confidence and pride.”
