A historic mission to Israel
The mission offers an immersive opportunity to deepen personal and communal Zionist identity.
For the first time in history, a delegation of 24 rabbis and Jewish leaders from 16 synagogues and Jewish organisations across NSW is embarking on a landmark Rabbis and Rebbetzins Mission to Israel.
Organised by the Rabbinical Council of New South Wales (RCNSW), led by its President Rabbi Shua Solomon, in partnership with the Zionist Council of New South Wales (ZCNSW), this unprecedented initiative is proudly supported by the World Zionist Organization (WZO) and the Mizrachi World Movement.
Rabbis and Rebbetzins from synagogues across Sydney’s North Shore, Eastern Suburbs and Newcastle will participate in this first-of-its-kind mission. Over the course of the trip, the delegation will explore key regions of Israel, engage with leading Israeli thinkers, and connect with diverse communities and organisations across the country.
The mission offers an immersive opportunity to deepen personal and communal Zionist identity while strengthening bonds between Australian Jewry and the State of Israel.
“This mission is a powerful opportunity to reignite our spiritual and Zionist connection to Israel,” said Rabbi Shua Solomon.
Orli Zahava, President of the ZCNSW, added, “This historic delegation reflects our commitment to investing in strong rabbinic leadership that connects our community deeply with Israel.”
The mission highlights the vital role of rabbinic leadership in nurturing Zionism and Jewish continuity within NSW Jewry.
