A party for the entire community
Communal leaders and politicians were among those in attendance at the dedication of two Torahs for the Yeshiva Synagogue last Sunday.
More than 100 people including communal leaders, politicians and members of the community attended the dedication of two Torahs for the Yeshiva Synagogue last Sunday.
The final letters were written into the scrolls at Central Synagogue, before the short walk down Bon Accord Avenue and into Flood Street, where there was dancing, music and a party for the entire community.
The Torahs were dedicated by Harry Triguboff, in honour of his parents Moshe and Frida Triguboff.
“The community is privileged to have a man as generous as Harry Triguboff, who continues to support every aspect of the centre and who is determined to see the continuity of our beautiful tradition passed on to every member of the community, irrespective of their background,” Yeshiva Synagogue’s Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin said.
