Earlier this month, 250 supporters of Jewish Care gathered for the 2022 annual dinner to help raise funds for Jewish Care’s Community Appeal.

Jewish Care aims to raise $3.9 million with this year’s Community Appeal to enable it to deliver programs and services to help the most vulnerable people in the community.

Multiple award-winning singer Kate Ceberano performed songs written by Jewish composers, including her rendition of Hallelujah, during which she invited rising stars Sidra Nissen and Camilla Burrows to perform with her.

Jewish Care CEO Professor Alan Lilly said, “It was wonderful to meet so many of our generous supporters – some I had known for many years, but would never have known they were supporters of Jewish Care. There was so much appreciation of the work we do for the community.”

Georgia Danos, who has been on the organising committee for over eight years, was emcee for the evening and warmly welcomed Israeli ambassador Amir Maimon.

Maimon said, “It was a pleasure to be surrounded by such a passionate community who support each other, especially in times of need. That is a sign of true commitment.”
