NEW all abilities theatre organisation, Stars and the Moon, lit up the stage at The Space’s Skydeck in Prahran last month with its inaugural performance, Suessical the Inclusical.

The not-for-profit, Melbourne-based group, championed by young Jewish community leaders, aims to provide artistic outlets for those with and without disabilities.

Eitan Meyerowitz, president of Stars and the Moon, said, “Our vision is to foster a world in which those with and without disabilities can live harmoniously, assisting and learning from each other, in the musical theatre space.”

Attracting the attention of Channel Nine news, participants in Suessical the Inclusical were thrilled to have their time in the spotlight.

Stars and the Moon is different from other inclusive theatres in that it strives to provide a high-quality production through a new method, one character played by two actors, implementing a blended cast of people with and without disabilities.

The group is looking for enthusiastic community members who would like to join next year’s production.
