Bible knowledge put to the test

AS is the case in many biblical stories, family played a strong role in this year’s Bible Quiz final.
Winner Sara Kaltmann followed in the footsteps of her siblings to reach success in the Australian final of the long-running quiz, which tests students’ biblical knowledge.
Kaltmann, a Beth Rivkah Ladies College student, held off a strong challenge from Kesser Torah College’s Sarah Charak to win first prize -— a ticket to Israel to compete in the international bible quiz held in Jerusalem on Yom Ha’atzmaut.
Beth Rivkah’s Aliza Teller, Kesser Torah’s Shira Lawrence and the Carmel School’s Jonny Eintracht also competed in the national final, held at Beth Weizmann community centre in Melbourne on November 8 and hosted by the Zionist Federation of Australia.
