Education

Always a place for you

AUJS supports students in Australia through social, political and educational events and programs.

Since its formation in 1948, AUJS has always strived to bring Jewish life to university students on and off campus across Australia and New Zealand.

Through its range of social, political and educational events and programs, AUJS offers opportunities for personal growth, self-actualisation and self-discovery, aiming to empower participants and members to strengthen their lifelong connection to their Judaism, identity, Israel and the community.

Currently, AUJS NSW is present across five campus societies throughout New South Wales: University of Wollongong, University of Sydney, University of Technology Sydney, University of New South Wales and Macquarie University. On-campus members gain exclusive access to events to meet and engage with other Jewish students, meet expert educators and speakers, and become involved in student leadership. Off campus, AUJS’s NSW regional executive leaders offer opportunities to interact, network and boogie with Jewish students at their annual state-wide events, including the Purim party and AUJS Ball.

For selected students across Australia and New Zealand, the annual Political Training Seminar in Canberra provides the platform for students to meet and learn from key political change makers.

If you’re seeking to further your personal and professional development, AUJS NSW boasts a voluntary student leadership body of 130 university students, focused on advocating for the issues they’re passionate about while empowering the future generations of Jewish leaders. Its annual general meetings are the perfect time for new and interested students to get involved and have a more meaningful Jewish experience during their tertiary studies.
