Oscar-winner Jared Leto is famed for going to extreme lengths for his art.

The shredded Fight Club actor gained 28kg for Chapter 27, lost 14kg for Dallas Buyers’ Club, went celibate for Requiem for a Dream (while dating Cameron Diaz!) and got as deep into the psyche of the Joker for Suicide Squad as one might ever want to go.

Now, the actor is making an accent aliyah to play Adam Neumann, founder of WeWork, the Icarus-like workspace startup that was once valued at more than $70 billion, and crashed shortly after going public.

Leto will play Neumann in the new Apple TV miniseries WeCrashed, which was inspired by the Wondery podcast WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.

Anne Hathaway will portray Adam’s wife and startup co-founder, Rebekah Neumann.

Neumann was known for his outsized personality – his love of partying and risk-taking was once seen as an asset for building WeWork.

Neumann even stated that he planned to live forever, become a world leader and rack up more than $1 trillion in wealth.

An official teaser trailed released last week offers a first glimpse into Leto’s interpretation of the native Hebrew speaker.

No word on how much falafel Leto ate to get into the role.
