Christina Aguilera plans four days in Israel
The five-time Grammy winner will dine in a Tel Aviv restaurant and tour Jerusalem and the Dead Sea.
(Times of Israel) – When pop icon Christina Aguilera lands in Israel with her private jet on August 9, fresh from a show in Serik, Turkey, the previous evening, she’ll need Starbucks coffee and a 2017 red wine.
The wine shouldn’t be a problem, but a local public relations representative said the local team would brew Aguilera Starbucks coffee from imported pods, given the lack of Starbucks cafes in Israel.
The five-time Grammy winner shared her list of hotel musts, including a Hollywood makeup mirror and matching black leather chair, candles scented with rose, amber and lemon, along with Diet Coke, pineapple juice, Tito’s vodka, a 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, trays of fruit and vegetables and Orbit gum.
Aguilera will presumably be sharing all that with her longtime boyfriend Matthew Rutler and the entourage accompanying her on her four-day stay in Israel.
Aguilera, considered one of the best-selling musicians of all time, will perform on August 10 in Rishon Lezion Live Park, an outdoor stadium that fits about 15,000 audience members.
She’ll be hosting Israeli pop singer Eden Ben Zaken, with the two set to sing a duet of Aguilera’s song Hurt, which Ben Zaken has been singing since 2013 when she was a contestant on X Factor Israel.
There’s no word yet on where Aguilera and her entourage are staying in Tel Aviv, but they are planning to go out with friends in the city the night before the show, and are currently perusing a list of restaurant options.
This is Aguilera’s first visit to Israel after more than 20 years of world tours and pop stardom, and she’s planning on touring Jerusalem and the Dead Sea on Friday after the concert, before leaving on Saturday.
Fans have asked her on social media to stay away from Israel and support the Palestinian cause, but so far, Aguilera hasn’t responded to them.
It’s unclear as to where Aguilera is heading after Israel, as the diva’s next scheduled show is on September 16 in Malta.
Aguilera rose to fame as a young girl with a big voice, before heading to the All-New Mickey Mouse Club and then developing a dual career as a pop culture icon and one of the world’s best vocalists, with five Grammy awards and two Latin Grammy awards.
According to promoter Live Nation Israel, there are still a few tickets left to the show.
