Jewish House will welcome Errol Jacobson to its team as a clinical consultant and active member of the clinical governance committee, where he will assist the services team to enable clients to access better mental health care services.

A mental health clinician with over 30 years of experience in the field, Jacobson has a wealth of knowledge in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions for a range of mental health concerns and has worked extensively with people experiencing homelessness.

Jacobson’s appointment marks a significant step forward for Jewish House, as the organisation continues to expand its clinical services and provide support to a greater number of people in need.

CEO of Jewish House Rabbi Mendel Kastel said he was excited about the addition of Jacobson to the Jewish House team.

“We are thrilled to have Errol join our team. His expertise and experience will be invaluable in helping us build on our existing services and reach more people in need of support.

“We look forward to working with him to achieve our goals of providing accessible, high-quality mental health care services to the community.”

Working closely with both the CEO and head of social services, Jacobson will also deliver workshops and psycho-education sessions to the community to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote wellbeing.

“I am delighted to be working with Jewish House and contributing to their mission of providing care and support to people experiencing homelessness or other personal crises,” Jacobson said.

“I have long admired the work that this organisation does and am excited to be part of it. I look forward to working closely with the services team.”

Jewish House has provided support and care to the community for 40 years, offering a range of services including crisis accommodation, food assistance, counselling, and mental health support, and is committed to providing accessible, high-quality care to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
