Courage to Care announces new chairperson

AFTER several successful years of committed partnership, and 16 months as chairman, Eitan Neishlos has announced his resignation from the board of Courage to Care NSW.
The new chairperson is Kathy Sharp, who has had a long involvement with Courage to Care, including as first vice-chairperson for many years.
“I am honoured to be assuming the role of chair in this widely respected organisation,” she said.
“Under the leadership of our new CEO Ed St John, and with the support of our wonderful board and management team, we look forward to continuing our important work in the future.
“We thank Eitan for his invaluable contribution to Courage to Care.”
Due to his increasing overseas commitments and travel demands, Neishlos will be focusing on his philanthropic interests and business projects in Israel, Europe, the Middle East and USA.
This will include work with the recently established Neishlos Foundation, which will have a focus on advocating for Israel, ensuring Jewish continuity, promoting Holocaust remembrance and teaching youth about tolerance and understanding.
Neishlos remains passionate about Courage to Care and is deeply committed to its important vision and will continue to serve as ambassador-at-large.
“Courage to Care has been a huge part of my life over the past year,” he said.
“In that time we have developed a new strategic plan and set the wheels in motion for many years of growth and increased impact.
“I am very proud of what we have achieved with Courage to Care. I’ve made many good friends in the organisation and I look forward to remaining closely connected in the future.”
Through its school education visits, public exhibitions and workplace programs, Courage to Care uses stories of courage and bravery from the Holocaust as a catalyst for promoting moral courage and respect for diversity in a contemporary setting.
An initiative of B’nai B’rith, Courage to Care NSW provides programs in NSW, the ACT and Queensland.
