AMY Gordon and Livi Slonim are the joint winners of Maccabi FC Caulfield’s 2021 Bernie Weiss Coaching Excellence Award.

They were both great mentors and deserving recipients, guiding the U9 Maccabi Carpenters, who had a very good season.

The coach’s award was held as a separate event for the first time via Zoom last Sunday, as a way for the club to focus its thanks on the dedication and time given by its football coaches.

The club’s awards night for players and administrators, and its annual general meeting, will be held via Zoom this Sunday night.

Meanwhile, preparations are already under way for the club’s women’s senior and reserves teams for next year’s Victoria State

League 1 season and the Nike FC Cup.

Summer training will resume next month at Caulfield Park for current members of those women’s teams, and potential new players are welcome to try out.
