Join author Dassi Erlich and podcaster Sarah Grinberg in an intimate conversation about Jewish identity, resilience and inspiration hosted by SHE for CSG and Pathways Melbourne.

Erlich is a prominent advocate, justice campaigner and lobbyist for survivors of sexual abuse. Her memoir In Bad Faith offers a compelling narrative that sheds light on a segregated ultra-Orthodox Jewish community and the harrowing experiences she endured. Her unwavering resilience and commitment to seeking justice serve as a powerful source of inspiration.

Grynberg, inspirational speaker and the host of the A Life of Greatness podcast, encourages her guests to share their knowledge and experiences to help listeners learn habits, practices and strategies to unlock their best selves.

She will facilitate an intimate conversation with Erlich about her powerful memoir, drawing out the complex issues in her past experiences and contemplating her future in light of what she has endured in her pursuit of justice. There will be time allocated for audience questions on the night.

Australian Jewish News arts and lifestyle editor Sharyn Kolieb wrote in a review of In Bad Faith: “The key to this memoir is innocence. Erlich might as well have been in the 18th century, she was so innocent, so pliable that she took for granted everything she was told, every way she was told to behave. All she wanted was to please her parents and, later, to protect her younger siblings.”

Pathways Melbourne supports and empowers people from Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox Jewish communities who are questioning their lifestyle, practices and beliefs, no matter where they are on their journey. Erlich is a highly valued member, as secretary of the Pathways Melbourne board.

SHE CSG is a fundraising initiative founded by the women of the Victorian Community Security Group that fortifies and energises Jewish life in Victoria. Through interesting and inspiring events, the organisation hopes to bring together women from across the community to celebrate and support CSG’s initiatives to keep Melbourne’s Jewish community safe.

Signed copies of In Bad Faith will be available to purchase on the night. Ticket proceeds will help support the impactful work of Pathways Melbourne and SHE CSG in the local community.

The event is on Sunday, April 14, from 7-8.30pm. The central location will be advised before the event

Cost: $25. Tickets: tinyurl.com/2nph3nv6
