Demons delight barmi boy
As a surprise video for bar mitzvah boy Dylan Swart, a group of Melbourne Demons stars answered a set of fun-filled bar mitzvah-related quiz questions.
MELBOURNE Demons stars Angus Brayshaw, Alex Neal-Bullen, Charlie Spargo, Christian Petracca, Jake Lever and captain Max Gawn were handballed a set of fun-filled bar mitzvah-related quiz questions earlier this month, and tackled them with glee.
Their energetic online quizmaster was the Ark Centre’s Rabbi Gabi Kaltmann – a 2020 AFL community ambassador – who kept them thoroughly entertained. They even got some questions right.
It was recorded on Zoom, due to the AFL hub protocols, as a surprise video for bar mitzvah boy Dylan Swart – who is a massive Demons fan – and arranged by his parents, with help from Neal-Bullen.
The players attempted to recite some of Dylan’s parasha, with some hilarious results. And they even offered him advice about becoming a man.
Among the funniest responses was Gawn’s, who said, “Grow a really handsome beard … not that moustache that Jake’s got!”
The video helped make Dylan’s bar mitzvah celebration on Zoom even more memorable.
