Maurice Klein speaks with JIFF Artistic Director Eddie Tamir, about JIFF 2023 which Commences on October 23 and will be screening 55 Australian premieres of films and TV series from around the world. The 2023 Festival presents JIFF’s biggest ever selection of new Australian films, 3 world premiere documentaries and five shorts. Eddie, tell us how great it is to have film makers choosing JIFF as a trusted place to have an appreciative audience and build word-of-mouth, then hopefully be seen in the rest of the world. We also hear from Eddie, that our beautiful Yiddish language features with brand new feature films in Yiddish. Long live Yiddish! JIFF always has a significant Holocaust genre of movies, with Eddie reviewing a few along with many of the other JIFF 2023 movies and TV series, showcasing Yiddish and Israeli culture.
