Ernie Friedlander – The Jewish Changemaker Awards 2023: acknowledging young persons’ “good deeds”
Maurice Klein speaks with Ernie Friedlander, about the Jewish Changemaker Awards 2023, honouring young people making a difference in our community. A Changemaker is someone who demonstrates commitment and passion to their cause, whether for the Jewish community, Australian society, Israel, or is in a leadership role. The Jewish Changemaker Awards is a platform for our communal organisations to showcase their volunteers and for young Jewish entrepreneurs to introduce their businesses. Having lost most of his family during the Holocaust, Ernie’s lifelong dedication has been to combating racism and discrimination along with the pursuit of harmony. Nominations for the B’nai Brith, JNF Australia, The Australian Jewish News and Meriton Jewish Changemaker Awards 2023 close on 30 September, so go to https://jnf.org.au/changemakers/.
