As Rosh Hashanah draws near, JNF Australia has launched its Blue Box campaign, a longstanding worldwide tzedakah-giving tradition. For 120 years, funds raised through the Blue Box have been instrumental in, among other things, the greening of the arid Negev.

This Rosh Hashanah, with your support, JNF will be developing the Yerucham Heritage Park, the only park in the Nof Midbar area of Yerucham. The park will become a green oasis of nature in which local families can spend quality time with one another.

Being a development town, Yerucham includes many new immigrants and more than 3600 young families, many from underprivileged backgrounds, who will be able to utilise this essential resource. The park will be a jewel at the entrance to the town. Incorporating the Yerucham Heritage Museum, it will also bolster the local economy through increased tourism from surrounding cities and, in time, international travellers.

Donations to the Blue Box campaign will provide a wonderful new haven for activity and will give the children of this central Negev community an opportunity for educational, recreational and physical development.
