Gal Gadot already stole our hearts years ago, so it’s only fitting she will star in an upcoming remake of To Catch a Thief, the classic Hitchcock romance-thriller about two master thieves playing a game of cat-and-mouse along the French Riviera.

Gadot will be co-producing the film, written by Eileen Jones, with her Israeli-Dutch husband, Jaron Varsano.

Given Gadot’s own filmography, which is studded with empowered roles boasting plenty of martial-arts prowess (including, of course Wonder Woman), one might anticipate this new version will feature a lot more action.

No word yet on how much will change in the remake – but we expect that both aficionados of flirty double-entendres, and kosher chicken marketers in need of cross-promotion, will be watching closely.

And if that’s not enough Gal Gadot for you, Netflix also recently announced that the 2021 hit Red Notice, in which she starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, is to get two more sequels.

Meanwhile, the star has addressed her much-maligned social media “Imagine” collaboration from early on in the COVID-19 pandemic, telling InStyle it was “premature”.

“It wasn’t the right timing, and it wasn’t the right thing. It was in poor taste,” she said.

“All pure intentions, but sometimes you don’t hit the bull’s-eye, right?”
