Robbie Williams changes lyrics

‘Guess I’m a Spurs fan now’

Robbie Williams has released a new song, and this time it’s a tribute to Tottenham Hotspur’s manager (and Aussie) Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou is proving hugely popular with Spurs fans, who have come up with a new song for the Aussie manager, to the tune of Williams’ hit song Angels. The clip went viral on social media before word obviously got back to the singer himself.

Williams, who is married to actress Ayda Field, a Turkish-American Jew, and has admitted that he “feels more Jewish than I feel Catholic”, posted a video on his own social media channels, singing the alternative lyrics, which start with “and through it all, we’ll play the way we want to, with big Ange Postecoglou, whether I’m right or wrong,” and finish by declaring love for “big Ange”

While the football-mad singer is a Port Vale supporter, joked at the end of the song, saying, “Guess I’m a Spurs fan now.”

What a stand-up guy!
