IF you know someone in the Jewish community who is making the world a better place, nominate them in this year’s B’nai B’rith and JNF Jewish Changemaker Awards.
Proudly supported by The AJN, the awards honour individuals in our community who have made a difference, as well as inspire others to get involved.

Young adults also have the opportunity to enter the B’nai Brith Award for Leadership, which recognises an individual who has demonstrated “vision, initiative and the capacity to inspire those around him/her, and exhibits pride in their Jewish identity”.
The youth category winner will receive $700, while the young adult winner takes home $1000, both thanks to key sponsor Meriton Apartments.
“The Australian Jewish News is looking to expand our connection with younger members of the community and we couldn’t think of a better way to launch this than by partnering with B’nai B’rith NSW and Jewish National Fund on the Changemaker Awards,” AJN CEO David Redman said.
“With these awards having more of a national focus and becoming an online event this year it is a unique opportunity to create something special that recognises the extraordinary work done by our future leaders. We ask you to nominate people for these awards as part of us all pulling together to emerge from a very challenging year.”
He added, “We will be announcing further elements of the new awards program over coming months as part of supporting and showcasing the next generation of Jewish Changemakers.”
Noting the awards are in their eighth consecutive year, JNF national executive assistant and its driving force behind the project Etty Ayalon said, “We are delighted that this year The Australian Jewish News has partnered with us recognising the importance of ‘growing our future’. The awards have become an excellent platform that recognises the younger generation of entrepreneurs and future leaders within our community so that we may continue to nurture their gifts and passions.
“We encourage the community to nominate worthy candidates to be showcased and acknowledged for their roles.”
B’nai B’rith Alfred Dreyfus Unit president Ernie Friedlander added, “In these turbulent and uncharted times focusing on the positives is more important than ever.
“The young Changemakers are certainly an inspiring example, their contributions to society need to be appreciated and acknowledged. Having The AJN joining us in this quest will enhance the project.”
