Our say
Hope Inspired by acts of courage
Sometimes, hope arrives through the courage of strangers who become beacons.
In our darkest hours, light finds a way to break through.
The past weeks have tested us. The revelation of Iran’s attacks on Australian Jews, government decisions that felt like betrayals and hate on the Sydney Harbour Bridge have left many of us searching for hope.
And of course, the trauma of October 7 still haunts us after almost two years, with Australia’s shocking rise in antisemitism the figurative salt being rubbed into our still gaping emotional wounds.
We desperately needed some uplift and inspiration.
But sometimes, hope arrives through the courage of strangers who become beacons.
