Former prime minister John Howard has urged support for humanitarian organisations such as The Joint at a time when global antisemitism is rife.

Speaking at an exclusive lunch hosted by the Joint Australia in Sydney last Wednesday, Howard spoke passionately about his deep connection to Israel and the importance of maintaining robust humanitarian support.

“At times like these when global antisemitism is rife, it is vital to ensure that humanitarian organisations such as the Joint remain robust and strong,” Howard said.

Joint Australia president Eva Fischl introduced Howard, remarking on his friendship and unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish people.

“Mr Howard shone. He spoke effortlessly and passionately about his deep connection to Israel,” the Joint Australia said in a statement.
