World famous Australian actor, singer, producer and philanthropist Hugh Jackman joined Humanitix last week, as the not-for-profit ticketing service provider’s first Head of Impact.

In a video message, Jackman thanked everyone who has purchased a ticket to an event through Humanitix, which was established by Jewish Sydneysiders Adam McCurdie and Josh Ross, to do good in the world.

“I want you to know how you’ve helped serve us, and in our mission, because what Humanitix is doing is really supporting people, all around the world, who are struggling with extreme poverty,” Jackman said.

“Every day, we hit milestones that we can’t believe that we’re hitting – the number donated so far is more than $20 million.

“And that represents meals, shelter, and a future for people and families who are struggling in the cycle of extreme poverty, and helping them to get out of it.
