Jaimee Rogers: ‘I can actually do something about the issues’
Rogers has visited Cremorne Synagogue with Senator Dave Sharma to express solidarity with the Jewish community.
Cammeray resident and experienced journalist Jaimee Rogers is running for Warringah because “in politics, I can actually do something about the issues the community talks about and I want to be a strong voice [for them] in Canberra”.
Rogers said the Liberal Party’s economic plan will deliver lower inflation by cutting wasteful spending, reducing red tape and slashing energy costs, while restricting foreign property investment and providing $5 billion for infrastructure needed to build more homes.
“On a local level, I’d like to see traffic congestion addressed on Military Road by bringing the Beaches Link tunnel back on the agenda.”
Rogers has visited Cremorne Synagogue with Senator Dave Sharma to express solidarity with the Jewish community and she put the Greens last on all her ‘how to vote’ cards, “as I don’t want any links to a party who supports antisemitism”.
“Peter Dutton has announced the formation of a specialist antisemitism taskforce, and [if elected] we will establish a judicial inquiry into antisemitism at Australian universities and deliver the $32.5 million security package requested by the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.”
Rogers added, “The continued funding of UNRWA is a shocking judgement call [by Labor] – Australia should not be supporting an organisation with links to a terror group.”
