TOGETHER for Humanity, the multicultural educational organisation founded by Rabbi Zalman Kastel, has announced Diane Harapin as its inaugural CEO.

Over the last years, Harapin has established both commercial and not-for-profit entities from scratch, was the inaugural CEO at Adopt Change, and restructured and refreshed two membership-based organisations, BreastSurgANZ and Australian Vision Research.

She holds four degrees in education and management and will work in partnership with Rabbi Kastel in the organisation’s work supporting school communities to embrace difference and combat prejudice.

“I’m so excited to join Together For Humanity as their first CEO,” she said.

“I’m looking forward to this extraordinary opportunity to lead a phenomenal ‘for purpose’ team focused on social cohesion, intercultural and interfaith education.

“Our Founder Zalman has grown this entity from a vision to a reality, and I’m grateful for his and the incredible board’s faith in me.”

Rabbi Kastel said he is “deeply grateful to be working alongside this outstanding leader”.

“I am not going anywhere,” he added.

“Our work is vast and much-needed. I look forward to working alongside Diane to scale up our work supporting school communities to embrace difference and combat prejudice.”

Earlier this month, Together For Humanity brought i4Give founder Danny Abdallah to address year 11 students at Moriah College as part of i4Give week.
