A NEW chapter in Australian-Israeli medical collaboration opened on May 13, when Sydney’s CBD played host to “Inventing Tomorrow”, a MedTech and Digital Health showcase bringing the best of Israel’s life sciences innovation to Australian investors, clinicians and industry leaders.

It was organised by TradeIL Australia – formerly called the Israel Trade and Economic Commission – in partnership with the Australian Friends of the Hebrew University (AFHU), the Israel Export Institute and Yissum, which is the Hebrew University’s technology transfer company.

The event was hosted at the Sydney headquarters of law firm Arnold Bloch Leibler, and was well-attended despite it being postponed from mid-March due to conflict in the Middle East.

The showcase drew together investors, clinical partners and distributors to explore breakthroughs in medical diagnostics and advanced treatment, and featured both in-person and virtual addresses, presentations and discussions.

Five standout companies from the Yissum portfolio took centre stage.
