JERUSALEM — An Israeli magician has entered a sub-zero ice cube in an attempt to break a world record.

Hezi Din, 29, plans to stay in the cube for 64 hours, emerging at midnight on December 31. The 8-ton cube is on public display in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square.

If successful, Din will break the record of American magician David Blaine, who spent 58 hours in an ice cube in 2000 in New York’s Times Square.
