Israeli President Isaac Herzog’s visit confirmed
Israeli President Isaac Herzog to visit Australia in February following Bondi terror attack.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog has confirmed his visit to Australia next month at the invitation of the Governor-General, the Prime Minister and the Australian Jewish community following the Bondi Beach massacre.
Herzog will arrive early in February for the official visit.
Accompanying Herzog will be a solidarity delegation from Israel’s national institutions, including World Zionist Organization chairman Yaakov Hagoel and Jewish Agency chairman Maj-Gen (res) Doron Almog.
Herzog will visit Jewish communities across Australia to express solidarity and offer strength in the aftermath of the attack that killed 15 people during the Chanukah by the Sea event on December 14, 2025.
He will meet with bereaved families of the victims, as well as those injured and their families. He will also be briefed on the activities of the Jewish Agency and the World Zionist Organisation to strengthen Jewish communities, particularly in light of the recent rise in antisemitism.
