JCA welcomes new committee members

“The contribution of these communal leaders who have dedicated themselves to JCA has been exceptional,” president Ian Sandler said.

AT last week’s JCA board of governors meeting and in line with JCA’s succession planning process, four long-time executive committee members handed over the reins to a new guard.

President Ian Sandler thanked Michael Gottleib (Fundraising) as well as Damien Elias, Jonathan Gavshon and Kelly Bayer Rosmarin who are stepping down after many years of outstanding service.

“The contribution of these communal leaders who have dedicated themselves to JCA has been exceptional,” Sandler said.

The quality of people we have on our committees sets us up for success – we are so fortunate and blessed as a community.”

Sandler also welcomed incoming committee chairs Michelle Levitt (Fundraising), Rebecca Tabakoff (Marketing) and Amanda Goodman (Status, co-chair with Melanie Schwartz).

In addition to chairing their committees, the trio will also automatically join the JCA Executive Committee.

The organisation also welcomed several new committee members.

Jonathan Wolf and Emma Wartski-Coonan will join the Building and Capital Committee, Anatoly Kirievsky and Suzanne Tavill will join the Investment Committee, Martin Moshal will join the Allocations Committee and Aviva Levine will join the Status Committee.

JCA CEO Alain Hasson said, “I am looking forward to working with all our new committee members and leadership.

“A critical element in ensuring JCA’s ongoing success is constantly reflecting on our engagement with the community and seeking new perspectives and pathways to do this.

“Our committees and the experience and diverse perspective each member brings is a vital part of this success.”
