The Community Security Group (CSG) Victoria and Hatzolah have announced the relaunch of the Jewish Emergency App (JEAP), featuring enhanced security capabilities and a modernised interface designed to serve as a central hub for emergency services.

The upgraded application offers real-time notifications including community updates, missing persons bulletins and security alerts, alongside quick access to essential emergency services.

“We are incredibly proud to relaunch JEAP. JEAP serves as a central hub for reaching Jewish community emergency services, including CSG and Hatzolah,” said Justin Kagan, CSG Victoria CEO.

The revamped app comes amid heightened security concerns for the Jewish community, a fact acknowledged by Kagan.

“The app is designed to be accessible for the entire community. In light of the current environment, we want to ensure everyone has the tools they need to feel safe,” he said.

The comprehensive dashboard provides users with one-touch access to contact CSG for community security needs, call Hatzolah for emergency medical assistance, or dial 000 for immediate police, ambulance or fire rescue services.

Technical improvements include a sleek new design with improved usability, the ability to upload multiple photos and a movable location pin for greater flexibility.

Existing JEAP users are required to update the app through their app store and complete a new registration process, while new users can download the application immediately.
