Jewish House’s pioneering partnership
Jewish House has partnered with digital currency firm Aus Merchant to enable donations via cryptocurrency.
JEWISH House has partnered with Australian digital currency provider Aus Merchant to provide a new donation method via cryptocurrency.
The partnership was launched to coincide with Homelessness Week last month. The initiative is one of the first in Australia.
Aus Merchant co-founder Sean Tolkin said he was determined to build a successful ethical business to drive and enable donations to pay back those that helped him through his darkest moments following his mother’s suicide when he was 22.
“I am immensely proud of the work we have done to enable this to happen. I feel like I owe Jewish House my life and my business. Through the darkest of times, they never gave up on me and saw me through where I am now,” he said.
“Not only am I proud to be extending support and commitment to Jewish House, but I also feel like I am honouring my mother by raising awareness and giving back to others who have been through periods that echo my own experiences.
“I want to drive the opportunity to reach out and find support. We have started with a $10,000 crypto donation to encourage and leverage crypto donations for the first time. We are hoping others will join us.”

Aus Merchant who are committed to helping Jewish House house over 1000 people this year.
“This partnership will allow us to engage new donors through varied income streams in safe and secure ways.”
Aus Merchant co-founder and managing director Mitchell Travers added, “As part of our ongoing commitment and support to the Australian charities, we are honoured to be able to lend and launch cryptocurrency donation to support Jewish House, an organisation which has helped thousands of Australians in their time of need.
