Finally grassroots footy is back … for the juniors at least!

With the South Metro Junior Football League season confirmed to kick off on July 12 and the Victorian government’s nod for contact training to resume for U18s, players at AJAX Junior Footy Club were absolutely buzzing around Princes Park in Caulfield last Sunday morning, enjoying their first practice matches for the year.

Among them was Charlie Gomo (pictured with the ball) in a friendly game between the AJAX U9s Stars and Rockets. In more good news for the junior club, despite the COVID-19 restrictions temporarily stopping the pre-season in its tracks, it has still managed to achieve a record number of player registrations.
