Junior Carnival kicks off
Perth is playing host to the Maccabi Junior Carnival for the first time in three years, with 170 Jewish boys and girls aged 12-16 taking part in the event.

AFTER months of planning and anticipation, the 2020 Maccabi Junior Carnival has begun!
Perth’s Jewish community warmly welcomed the 170 boys and girls representing Maccabi NSW, VIC, QLD and WA – and their team managers and youth leaders – at a buzzing opening ceremony on January 21 at the Carmel School hall.
Music, mingling and motivational speeches got everyone in the mood for a memorable week of friendly sporting competitions, themed parties and plenty of fun activities from indoor rock climbing to laser tag.
Always a highlight on Maccabi Australia’s junior sporting calendar, the carnival will conclude on January 27.
