EWP is also one of the first preschools to both introduce and embed the Resilience Project (TRP) into its daily practice.
Founded by primary school teacher Hugh van Cuylenburg the TRP curriculum delivers emotionally engaging programs to early learning centres, providing practical, evidence-based, positive mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness. It focuses on three main elements – gratitude, empathy and mindfulness (GEM).
“This program goes hand in hand with EWP’s philosophy of developing the whole child,” director Fiona Ozana said. “Importantly, practising strategies regularly improve children’s mental health and overall wellbeing.”
