After eight years away from the stage, Kosher Theatresports made a triumphant return to its spiritual home at Bondi Pavilion Theatre, proving that some things in the Jewish community are worth the wait.

The beloved comedy improv show, which has been described as a distinctly Jewish take on the popular Theatresports format, delivered two sold-out nights of laughter, and the kind of comedic chaos that only happens when you mix quick wit with a healthy dose of chutzpah.

Shmux in Tux proved they haven’t lost their comedic edge during the hiatus, claiming victory on both nights and walking away with the coveted Ronit Ovah Cup and Hamsa Cup.

The competition was fierce, with Macbeth-Din securing second place across both performances. Their star player, Toffee Foltyn, took home the Player of the Season award along with two nights’ accommodation at a TFE hotel.

Rookie of the Season honours went to Beau Glass from Yids These Days, earning himself kosher dinner for two at Surry Hills’ Shaffa’s restaurant. Meanwhile, Jesse Barel delivered what might be the evening’s most memorable moment, physically transforming into a suitcase on a rotating baggage carousel in a piece of physical comedy that had the audience in stitches.
