Live at Yours’ unique classical concerts returns this year for a third season at the Great Synagogue. Performances will embody this season’s theme of ‘Travelling without moving’, transporting audiences across geographical and cultural boundaries to the soundtrack of world-class performances.
The season’s launch on February 27 and 29, will take audiences from 21st-century Sydney to Vienna’s Golden Jewish Age with a stellar lineup of instrumental and choral talent. Sydney Symphony concertmaster Andrew Haveron and pianist Vatche Jambazian will grace audiences with an immersive instrumental performance.
Between the masterworks, audiences will experience the powerful voices of Menachem Feldman, and the St Andrews and Great Synagogue choirs, spotlighting cross cultural collaborations and showcasing local talents.
Other concerts planned for the Great Synagogue include: From Budapest with Paprika, featuring internationally renowned violinist Joszef Lendvay, who will dazzle with his brilliance and finesse on his 1693 Stradivari on May 28 and 29, and Midnight in Paris with acclaimed pianist Konstantin Shamray on July 2 and 3, Bohemian
Rhapsody with the talented Ensemble Liaison on September 3 and 4, and A Wonderful World with outstanding pianist Simon Tedeschi on November 5 and 6.
