Mazal Tov on Double Honours
“Our students are a credit to their teachers, our school and the entire community.”
Beth Rivka Ladies College is pleased to wish mazal tov to their high achieving students Leah Goodman and Tova Gampel who received the Premier’s Awards for their outstanding VCE results in Text and Traditions 2024.
“Our students are a credit to their teachers, our school and the entire community,” Yeshivah–Beth Rivkah Colleges principal Rabbi Elisha Greenbaum said.
Goodman told The AJN she was honoured to receive the award and said, “Studying the texts of Jeremiah and Ezekiel has deepened my appreciation and understanding of our Jewish history.
“This connection felt especially meaningful during my recent trip to Israel, where the texts I had studied came to life and gave greater context to our history and identity.”
Goodman thanked her teacher and friends, “I am especially grateful to my teacher, Mrs Yamit Glasman, whose unwavering guidance and dedication made this achievement possible. I’m also thankful to my family and friends for their constant support and making my experience such a positive one.”
Gampel said that receiving the Premier’s award “felt surreal and yet deeply gratifying”.
“It reflected the effort I invested into Texts and Traditions and the sense of fulfilment that came with it. I was incredibly lucky to have been taught by Mrs Glasman, whose enthusiasm and guidance not only enabled me to succeed but made the experience engaging and empowering. Studying alongside such supportive and driven friends who brought meaning and enjoyment to my studies is something I truly appreciate. I hope that this achievement reminds me to trust in myself as year 12 becomes more demanding,” she said.
