BARRY Kodesh, who was reported missing on December 30, has been found dead in the Central Coast.

Police have neither confirmed nor denied whether foul play is suspected.

The 48-year-old Jewish man from Pymble was last seen in Everton Street, Pymble between 9am and 10.45am on December 30.

Police reported Kodesh’s car, a Toyota Camry, was also missing and that Kodesh did not take any money, medication or other possessions with him.

A Facebook page was also set up to assist in the search for Kodesh.

“Barry was highly regarded by his friends and the wider community,” Rabbi Zalman Kastel told The AJN this week.

“It is very, very sad he has passed away. We were praying for him and his family.

“He was well liked and made a contribution to the community, including in sport,” Rabbi Kastel said.

Kodesh was heavily involved in sport within the Jewish community, and was a very active member for more than a decade of the Maccabi Northside Monash Soccer Club.

“People in different communities were keen to spread the word and share the Facebook page to get the word out he was missing,” Rabbi Kastel said.
