JERUSALEM — The Israeli Defence Forces relief team has returned home from Haiti.

The contingent of more than 200 people were given a hero’s welcome when they landed in Israel on Thursday afternoon (January 28).

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “You showed the world the true spirit of the IDF. The entire world is full of appreciation for your work.”

All Haitian patients under Israeli care were transferred to other hospitals.
