'Hope Beyond the Hurt'

Molan headlines WIZO NSW event

"It shouldn't be considered special to tell the truth, or to be able to identify evil versus good," Erin Molan said.

Media personality Erin Molan headlined the WIZO NSW gala event, where she delivered a powerful and emotional address to a sell-out audience at Moriah College.

“It shouldn’t be considered special to tell the truth, or to be able to identify evil versus good,” Molan said.

“If you had told me before October 7 that I would come out and I would condemn very strongly the actions of Hamas on that day, and I would stand staunchly with the victims of that attack, and that it would be considered controversial, or that it would result in death threats, I would’ve said you’re dreaming, that’s not my Australia.”

Molan was presented with a certificate inscribed with the words eshet chayil, woman of valour, for her unwavering moral clarity by WIZO NSW president Nilly Berger.

And there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when Molan sat down to interview Ayelet Zohar Cohen, who is the aunt of Ariel Zohar. Ariel was a few months shy of his bar mitzvah when he went for a run on October 7 and returned to find his entire family – mother, father, both sisters and grandfather – had been murdered in their home.
