UP-AND-COMING Jewish actress Romy Teperson is bound for the Big Apple after winning an acting scholarship to the Atlantic Theatre Company.
The 25-year-old was one of only two Australians awarded the illustrious William H Macy scholarship for a six-week summer intensive, where she will walk corridors once strolled by stars including Rose Byrne, Jessica Alba and Matthew Fox.
A graduate of the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art, Teperson is also currently performing in a new stage show titled Italian American Reconciliation at Sydney’s Newtown Theatre.
“Acting has always been my goal,” she told The AJN. “All these opportunities are coming at once.”
It was the first time the William H Macy scholarship was offered to international students, with Teperson saying the actor is known to personally teach classes, or at the very least, pop in to meet the students.
