WOOLLAHRA turned pink last week for Pink Sunday, an event organised by the Nation Council of Jewish Women of Australia (NCJWA) to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The day included musical performances Monsieur Camembert, talks from author and blogger Mia Freedman and hairdresser Joh Bailey and a performance by Barak from Barak Art.
Dalia Sinclair, president of NCJWA NSW said the event, which was organised together with the Jewish Women’s Breast Cancer Network, was amazing.
“It was an overwhelming weekend,” Sinclair said. “It was indeed a celebration of life and that is what we intended it to be. There was a real community spirit and an engagement of all the shops, the youth movements ant the entire community that joined together.”
