JEWISH actor Mandy Patinkin has taken on many roles during his long career.

But his most recent role is a matchmaker – in real life – and it’s hilarious.

Posting on social media last week, the Tony Award winner wrote “Date our friend!” along with a six-minute video featuring the eligible bachelor, thirty-something Jewish artist, musician and businessman Ilan Bachrach.

Filmed in Patinkin’s upstate New York home by his son Gideon, the video begins with Bachrach tinkling they keys of a piano before he speaks to the camera and talks a bit about his interests.

Hilarity ensues – at one point the Patinkin family dog Becky jumps in, prompting Bachrach to add he likes dogs, at another point Patinkin’s wife Kathryn Grody sings his praises prompting feigned jealousy from the actor, and then at one point they all break into song with Matchmaker, Matchmaker.

“Since meeting this person, from the very first moment, I have been thinking about what fabulous female I can find for him,” Grody says.

Patinkin adds, “We have nice backyard for a wedding, a lot of people, a tent, I think it can be a nice affair.”

The actor also urges viewers, “If you’re alone, even if you’re with somebody, if you’re with the wrong person, get the f**k out and go be with this guy. This is a good guy.

“If you don’t find this guy, you’re nuts, that’s all, nuts.”
