Pink still an Aussie favourite

POPULAR Jewish-American singer-songwriter Pink proved that she is still a favourite with Australian music fans by winning the ARIA for the most popular international artist at the annual awards ceremony in Sydney on Sunday.

Pink was unable to attend the ceremony, but sent a video thanking her fans.

Kylie Minogue was inducted into the ARIA hall of fame. The 43-year-old pop star accepted the honour from Prime Minister Julia Gillard and said: “I’m a very proud Australian.”

The Wiggles was also inducted into the ARIA hall of fame.

Sydney’s Boy & Bear won album of the year with Moonfire, Gotye scored single of the year with Somebody That I Used to Know as well as best male artist. Kimbra was named best female artist.
