Anyone with information or dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

VICTORIA Police has released an image of a man they wish to speak to in relation to antisemitic graffiti at Middle Park Kindergarten earlier this month.

The incident, in which the words “4th Reich” and a Star of David were daubed on a brick wall of the kindergarten, prompted MPs from both sides of politics to condemn the attack.

In a statement on Sunday evening, police said investigators believe a man was in Ashworth Street about 3.30pm on Tuesday, June 16 when he spray painted the roadway.

The vandalism at Middle Park Kindergarten.

“Officers believe the man then walked to Mills Street, Middle Park and sprayed a symbol and vilifying words on the brick wall of a kindergarten.

“The man then left the area,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

Police have released an image of a man that they wish to speak to and who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Chairman of the Anti-Defamation Commission Dvir Abramovich told The AJN, “We commend Victoria Police for their speedy action and hope that justice is served in this case, and that the person who committed this hate-motivated outrage is caught before they can inflict more damage.

“This incident, which was an affront to all Australians, is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by extremists driven by bigotry.”

Anyone with information or dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
