TEHILLIM (psalms) were being said this week for a year 7 student at Melbourne’s Yesodei HaTorah College who was hit by a truck while cycling to school last Tuesday morning.

The teenager, with the Hebrew name Eliyahu Gershon ben Liron, was riding at the intersection of Kooyong Road and North Road in Brighton East at around 8.30am when he was struck.

The AJN understands he is in a stable condition at the Royal Children’s Hospital.

In an audio message circulated through the community, a member of the family said, “It’s still quite serious,” but noted, “It could have been 10 times worse than it is.”
