Rabbi Daniel Rabin of Caulfield Shule and Rabbi Shmuel Karnowsky of Elwood Shule have a new podcast “The Therapeutic Parsha”, on which they discuss the mental health and wellbeing of the Jewish community.

In their weekly podcast inspired by the toll of the pandemic on mental health, topics such as gratitude, mistakes and criticism are covered. There are cameos from special guests such as therapists and food coaches, to offer their opinions and professional advice.

Rabbi Rabin said, “We discuss topics from the weekly Torah portion and how they can give guidance on a better wellbeing.”

He added that they hope the podcast can offer “inspiration and a sense of calm to those who listen to our weekly show”.

“Each week we focus on a theme from the portion and relate it to areas of mental health or general wellbeing,” he said.

“We encourage anyone who is struggling with mental health issues to reach out to their GP or other relevant health professionals to seek support and assistance.”
