Israeli superstar premier cantor Dudu Fisher will join the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation’s High Holy Day program this year.

Fisher, in the lead role of chazan, will be accompanied on the bimah by his seven-year-old son.

Chazan sheni Aaron Max, together with the choir will join Fisher in the program.

MHC president Quentin Miller said, “We are incredibly excited about this year’s High Holy Day services and to welcome back the esteemed cantor, Dudu Fisher.

“Last year’s celebration was a tremendous success, and we expect this year to be even more momentous.”

“We seek to elevate the spirits of our members and the broader community, and what better way to achieve that than through music.”

MHC’s Rabbi Shlomo Nathanson leads his congregation with passion and vibrancy while continuing his devotion to community work and C Care.

“Let us embark on this new year together with enthusiasm and positivity, as we come together in our shule,” Rabbi Nathanson said.

“May this year be filled with blessings, growth and meaningful connections within our cherished community.

“With hope in our hearts, let us start the year on a high, united in purpose and devotion to making it a year of significance and fulfilment.

“I am thrilled to collaborate once again with Dudu and Aaron on a Yom Tov program that will not only inspire but also provide a meaningful opportunity for connection.”

The shule will be offering non-members a High Holy Day pass to attend all Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services for $180.

There will also be a substantial kiddush in the MHC Foyer following both Rosh Hashanah first- and second-day services.
